Subject: Thanks for a great visit Dear Deb and Kit – Thank-you so much for helping to make our trip to San Antonio a memorable experience. The Provence room was perfect for us. We hve never stayed in a B&B that was so private and yet you were readily accesible when we had questions. Your location is perfect for walking to the local restaurants – we loved Rosarios – and the Riverwalk access. The private entrance allowed our son to be able to come to visit every day without it feeling like an intrusion to anyone else. The chairs on the porch would have been great if the temperature hadn’t been so ridiculously hot – but that is what happens when you visit south Texas in the summer. Having the breakfast option was great for us because some days we wanted an early start but the full breakfast we had one morning was amazing. We really enjoyed the flavorful coffee and the homemade cookies each day. Overall, it was just perfect - Thank-you , sue

We found the room charming and warm and the breakfasts excellent. The location of the Inn in the midst of the King William District was perfect for a romantic getaway that was far enough from the River Walk crowds, close enough to the Art shops and local attractions, and within easy walking distance of excellent local cuisine that is unlike any found on the River Walk. El Mirador and Cascabel’s was particularly memorable for outstanding, but atypical, Mexican food for San Antonio. Our host, Deb, was helpful and accomodating and we would have loved to have extended our stay longer than the one day we added after enjoying the first two so much.

Yellow Rose was just what we needed in a b & b. The location was right– a quiet spot in a beautiful old neighborhood within walking distance of the sights of San Antonio. The room was very comfortable, considerately furnished and quiet. We liked having only coffee and juice as an option for breakfast because we were “saving ourselves” for the Mexican food and Texas barbecue we enjoyed for our other meals. The owners were available but not intrusive.

I stay in many “luxury” hotels for business. This trip was for pleasure (Concert). We decided to skip the hotels and ……. we probably will not stay in a hotel in San Antonio again !. The Yellow Rose was wonderful . Close to great neighborhood restuarants and the “real” quiet riverwalk. The room was very clean , comfortable and had a great selection of reading materials. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and having a cold beverage before retiring. We will definitely be returning for another weekend.

This was a great choice for us. The room and the bath were huge and our bed was as comfortable as we are used to at home. The water pressure was excellent for both the shower and spa tub and this can be a problem in older homes. The owners were eager to anticipate our every need. We chose to eat breakfast in the neighborhool several days and we walked to breakfast places. We also found a great German bakery where we bought cookies and muffins and breakfast cakes that were scrumptious. We were on the lower floor and it was still quiet. We walked everywhere, it is so convenient! There is off street parking but we choose to park on the street and that worked fine for us. Our length of stay was five days and we were delighted with our stay. We investigated other B&Bs in the area and this was by far the best.

This was our very first experience with B&B’s! We are converted. The hosts were very lovely and helpful in helping us with directions, things to do, places to eat etc. We would definately come and stay again!! I loved the room and the peacefulness, very clean and nicely decorated. Just like home away from our home. Very restful and private.
